My mom and I made fried chicken for lunch this afternoon. We’d had Crisco in our cupboard for a while now (because my mom and sister needed shortening whenever they’d bake), and I’d been annoying her to use it when she makes fried chicken. Look at how glorious they turned out to be! I went on to eat five whole pieces. With gravy-drowned rice.
