After a little more than two months, I finally got to have my haircut again. It had been growing out of control these past few weeks; so much so that even wax couldn’t tame the ugly beast it was becoming.
Also, this will be the first time in a pretty long time that I’m actually blogging here about anything remotely related to my day. I apologize for littering your Dashboards with Instagram photos. They’re all I’ve really ever had the time to post in the past couple of weeks. Pretty sad, though, that the one thing I’m going to finally blog about here after a really long time is my face.
I’ll find more interesting things to blog about soon, I promise.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
It’s Ash Wednesday over here, which means it’s that time of year again to give up something dear to me for forty days. Two years ago, I gave up smoking. We all know how successful that was. Last year, we were too caught up with the cancer scare to have even thought of giving anything up. In fact, I think I even smoked the most in that time alone than I ever have, combined. This year, since I’m not that much of a smoker anymore, giving up smoking won’t mean as much as it used to.
I’m still thinking about giving up something as huge as Tumblr and Twitter, or maybe to just make the extra effort to actually get stuff done, like working out everyday (and adding swimming and running to the mix again). Give up something, or put in more effort into doing something else. We’ll see.
Any suggestions? :)

I’m very proud to say that
I survived Hell Week, unscathed save for this exhaustion-induced common cold/bloody sore throat combo, and
I haven’t posted a GPOY in a very long time. Until now.
I’m off to mass in a bit, and then to the Glee Club’s concert. I haven’t watched them in over a month, and I thought their next concert would be in March, so tonight’s concert came as a very pleasant surprise. I get to appreciate from a distance, as usual. Ogling. Staring carelessly. That’s what concerts are for anyway, right?

Reunited and it feels so good. I’d been looking forward to this morning for quite a while now. The last time the three of us were together was a little less than six months ago. Jhonel (right) left for a job in Japan back way in August, and with the two-year bond, none of us had expected to see each other again this soon. It was definitely a pleasant surprise. We met up in the cafe at nine for breakfast, and I don’t think I’d ever given him a tighter hug than the one I gave him when I saw him. It was a six-months-in-the-making kind of hug, and we just really missed each other.

We sat down and talked like not even a day had passed us by, talking about the same old stupid things, only now, with the addition of stories about work, making our own money, and just generally trying our darnedest to be good at being grownups. We’re doing pretty well for ourselves, and in a few months, Mik (center) will be joining us in the real world. He’s graduating in March, but he’ll be flying off to Europe first before getting his hands dirty. One last hurrah.

I’m not going to make this as long and sappy as I was planning to (God knows how many of those kinds of posts I’ve made about these two in the past). To steal a word or two from Jhonel, they’re friends who I know I’ll be friends with for the rest of my life, wherever we may be.

Also, I really liked my shirt :D

My sister and I found ourselves on a different side of Wilson this afternoon. We’re usually in the area for our North Park fix, but today, we decided to walk on over across the street to this little Chinese bakery that people have been saying good things about. We looked like idiot tourists outside, posing beside the poster and lanterns. Well, me more than my sister because she refused to make a mockery of herself in public.
I got a coffee bun. It was pretty good. I downed it while finishing Grey’s :)

Heading out in a bit. Haven’t seen a dentist in more than a year, I think. The last time I was there, I had to tell the dentist to keep my smoking on the down-low because my parents didn’t know about it yet. Since then, they’ve already allowed me to smoke freely at home (even went on to buy me pretty lighters and flashy cigarettes), and then a few months later, tell me to stop smoking altogether. So see, it’s really been a while. I’m back to hiding my smoking not smoking!
Well, anyway, since I failed to go online yesterday, let me just wish you all a very belated Merry Christmas. I was planning on uploading a video to greet all my Tumblr friends to sort of commemorate the holidays this year, but I’m still giving it some thought. Maybe in the New Year :)

Look at the hoodie my sister made for me a couple of months ago! I’m pretty sure the design isn’t new to most people, as it’s probably been floating around Tumblr for a while now. Plus, it describes me quite perfectly :3
I don’t think I’ve ever had the chance to wear it (what with the perennially scorching heat in Manila), so since the weather’s been pretty cool these past few days, and since it’s been raining all day, and since it was at the top of my hoodie pile this morning, I decided to throw it on and see how many people like it at the mall.
Or not. We’ll see.

Off to mass. The Christmas traffic this year is unimaginable. We actually have to leave an hour earlier than usual to get to wherever we’re going to on time. It’s insane. I have a trench coat from XXI to top this whole thing off, but since the heat is just as insufferable as the traffic, I decided to just put it on when I get to mass.
Sweatfest, here I come! I heard it speeds up metabolism, too, so yay! :)

Since Meki decided to share one of the photo booth shots from the night of our alumni homecoming, let me share all the ones I was in. I thoroughly enjoyed posing, you guys. It’s like a dream come true. If I could have a permanent photo booth at home (complete with operators, props, and printers), my life would be complete.

It’s good to see how you’re going to look exactly before a shot of you is taken. I hate surprises. Especially bad ones. On photos. It’s happened too many times.
