Does anyone else miss playing GameBoys like this? I saw this on my Dashboard, and a whole stream of memories came rushing back. All I ever played on mine was Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, Pokémon Yellow, Pokémon Gold, and Pokémon Silver, so basically just Pokémon. I’d usually play until I beat the Elite Four, and then be done with it, but I really enjoyed trading and battling the only other person who I knew was up for it at the time: my cousin.
I was only proactive enough to get all 150 of them on my Pokédex when I played Blue, I think, trading Pokémon back and forth with her whenever we’d go over to their place. We’d even battle each other when we got bored. I could never accept it at the time because she was two whole years (and a few months) younger than me, but she’d usually kick my Pokémon’s asses with ease. Oh, the good old (simpler) days.
I’ve never really touched any of the GameBoy models that came after this one (due in part to my PlayStations taking over the remainder of what turned out to be just a gaming phase in the past), but I assume connecting two GameBoys has evolved from having to have that damned cable with you all the time?
Oh, but how that cable made us feel so badass back in the day.

365/179: June 28
I felt so overworked today. It wasn’t helping at all that I couldn’t get the application to run. I put everything down and went down to work out. I jumped for thirty minutes, and then did abs. I felt so tired, even more exhausted than I already was, but somehow, I felt a whole lot better. I managed to squeeze out two more hours of work before finally calling it a night. I’ve got until tomorrow to make sure I don’t make a fool of myself on Thursday.
I wasn’t able to take any photos today, ergo my tired, uninspired, droopy- and baggy-eyed self. Can someone give me a hug and make me feel better? :3
