This is why my love for Bunker is infinite, always so full of optimism and genuine love for anything that moves. You’d think Skitter would go berserk on anyone who tried talking her out of anything short of destruction while in her rampaging spider state. And she would, except on Miguel, apparently. He’ll keep this team together, I can already feel it.

I really do believe that Miguels all around the world are just natural charmers.

It’s just the way it is :)

Comic Book Wednesday. Not much on this week’s Pull List, Marvel-wise. Looks like the good ones are exhausted, and just bracing for February. Definitely grabbing X-Men Legacy #261, though. Rogue + Gambit + Iceman = huge no-brainer. I immediately fell in love with it after last week’s .1 release.

Over on the DC corner, the remaining #5s of the New 52 are set to ship. Out of the fourteen or fifteen releases, though, I’m only grabbing the above three. I’ve been thisclose to dropping everything else in DC besides these three, but the other story lines continue to be interesting enough, thankfully.

The Justice League’s finally complete and together, united by a common threat, the root of all that’s been running amok since #1, Darkseid. As well, the Justice League Dark’s finally complete, but still hardly together. Even far apart, all seem to be united by one goal: to bring the witch, Enchantress, down. I’d like to think they’ll finally come together this issue. Story-wise, character-wise, and art-wise, Justice League Dark beats Justice League by a landslide, in my opinion. I’m enjoying it a lot more.

It must be the month of being complete and coming together as a team because the Teen Titans story line is pretty much in sync with the previous two, save for Skitter being a total flake, and Superboy continuing his rampage against the team. I saw a few page-grabs, and man, I’m really loving the whole BFF thing between Miguel and Kiran. I’m really psyched to read the rest of the issue :D

Comic Book Wednesday. This CBW is probably going to be the most exciting one for me this December. For one, I’ve been looking forward to a couple of releases this week from both Marvel and DC. I’m seriously just reeling with excitement as I type this all down.

Two of my Top 3 DCnU reboots ship today: Teen Titans and Justice League Dark. There hasn’t been much story yet in either, as the characters are still being slowly introduced, but I’m really enjoying the dynamic in each of the groups.

Tim’s already teamed up with Cassie and Miguel, and has Skitter in custody, Bart and Solstice have just escaped from N.O.W.H.E.R.E., and as I’m guessing, everyone’s just on a collision course with Connor, who’s out to put them all down. I really hope they all finally see each other in this issue.

Over on the JLD side, Constantine finds Zatanna, Deadman and June Moon find Enchantress, Madame Xanadu, who in #2 is hinted to be using Enchantress as her tool to put the rest of the JLD team down, finds Shade, Shade finds Mindwarp, and then has a random encounter with Constantine. Really, you gotta read it to appreciate it. It’s got a pretty thrilling story, despite all the character introductions.

Over on the Marvel side, *drum roll* Avengers: Children’s Crusade #8 will finally ship! I’ve been waiting for this for months! For those of you who don’t know, the story revolves around the Young Avengers’ search for the Scarlet Witch, which eventually puts the Avengers at odds with the X-Men. It’s a really fast-paced story, not to mention, detrimental to the three story-line continuities. They say this issue will see the death of an Avenger, and that #9 will see a newly lined-up Young Avengers. It’s tearing me apart that one of them might die. I can’t imagine any of them dying :(

Uncanny X-Men #3 also ships today, a week after it was initially planned to ship. So you Cyclops Team followers, today’s the day to grab your copies :)

My morning’s been pretty idle, so as soon as the lunch break came around, I decided to continue reading. Knowing that members of the team are gonna be dying eventually is making me feel bad about loving their team dynamic so much. This totally blows.
Long way to go. Ninety more issues. But then again, what’s the rush, really? I think I’m going to thoroughly enjoy this one, for a change. Besides, lots of really exciting issues are coming out tomorrow, c/o Marvel. DC, not so much.

I’m really enjoying this version of the Titans. I haven’t always been a DC fan (in fact, what only drew me into the fandom was the fact that they rebooted practically their entire universe to draw in new readers like myself), so now that I sort of am (I repeat, sort of), reading through the past story lines of characters I’ve come to like gives me the kind of feeling you get when you see easter eggs in any of your favorite shows. I suddenly understand the allusions they make in the current stories, understand how the characters got to where they are now. Lots of ohhhh moments. It’s a treasured feeling.
And how all the Titans actually know each other prior to joining the team, a stark contrast to the current storyline where none of them seem to have met prior to the beginning of #001, gives me a whole other means of appreciating how the team came about. Good stuff.

I’ve been scrambling around the Internet looking for a new comic book to follow, to sort of fill the void during the month-long lull between comic books I’ve already managed to catch up with… which is basically everything I’d set out to read. After sorting through countless comic book Tumblrs and reading through reviews, I’ve finally settled on a new old comic book series to follow: Teen Titans v3.

The series ended right before DC relaunched it’s New 52 (and therefore, Teen Titans v4), and there are only a hundred issues in it. Been looking forward to it all weekend, and alas, its #1 just finished downloading.

My rainy Sunday just got a whole lote better. So psyched! :)
